Last night was Tuna on toast! another meal everyone likes:)
We grew up on this! I hadn't had it for a long time. I had almost forgotten about it, until someone mentioned it the other day! It brought back memories of my younger years:)
Tuna on Toast
1 cube butter
1/2 cup flour
stir over medium heat until sizzling
2 cups milk
2 cups water
pour in with butter stirring occasionally until sauce thickens
1 can cream of chicken soup
3 cans tuna
Cook up some toast, and top with sauce!
I served with mixed vegetables! Kids like to mix their veggies into the sauce! Makes it go down better for them:)

I have never made it with a can of cream soup... bet that does make it good. Yep, this is totally comfort food, one of my favorites, if NOT my favorite. Brings back memories for me, too, honey! Big family, inexpensive but goood food, think I will make this for dinner tonight! Thank you! I had taken hamburger out but this just sounds like what I need..... need some comfort food!!! And I have whole wheat WHITE bread to toast up for it! :)
